PSG VS FC Barcelona Post Match Press Conference

Barcelona head coach David Sanchez expressed pride and satisfaction after his side secured their first-ever International Cup title with a convincing 5–2 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the final.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Sanchez described the triumph as the reward for a season of dedication and hard work.
“I am delighted with the result and the deserved victory despite the difficulty of the final,” he said. “This title represents the efforts of the entire squad. Every player contributed and gave everything throughout the season.”
Sanchez acknowledged PSG’s quality, particularly in the first half, but highlighted Barcelona’s response after the interval. “Saint-Germain have excellent players in every position, and they punished our mistakes early on. But we corrected our errors quickly and produced a strong second-half performance to win convincingly. That shows we truly deserved to lift the trophy for the first time in this competition.”
The Spanish coach concluded by praising his team’s mentality.
“We always play with the Barcelona spirit. From the opening match, our ambition was to win the title, and the players showed outstanding character in the final and throughout the tournament.”

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain Under-17 coach Vincent Ehouman admitted disappointment following the defeat and pointed to second-half errors and physical fatigue as key factors.
“We controlled the first half, but the situation changed after the break,”  Ehouman said. “Barcelona equalized, and we made mistakes that allowed them to dominate thanks to the quality of their players.”
He added that his side must take lessons from the experience.
“The defeat is a heavy one, and the individual errors were costly. Barcelona capitalized on them, but this tournament has given us important lessons moving forward.”
Ehouman also noted the physical toll of the competition.
“The players were fatigued. Playing several high-intensity matches in such a major tournament over just 12 days is not easy, and I believe fitness played in Barcelona’s favor in such a decisive result.”
