PSG Seeks Record-Breaking Fourth Youth Title as Barcelona Chases Historic First

Paris is looking to win the title for the fourth time and break its tie with Real Madrid as the most successful club in the history of the tournament, with three titles each.
Paris Saint-Germain won the first edition in 2012, before claiming the fourth edition in 2015 and the seventh edition in 2018. Meanwhile, the Catalan side is aiming to write its name for the first time in the record books of champions who have previously had the honor of winning this tournament, which enjoys a very strong reputation and is considered the most powerful and best in the world at this age level.

Paris Saint-Germain successfully reached the final of the tournament, which from one edition to another witnesses the emergence and brilliance of many talents whose stars later shine on the global football stage, after defeating Aspire Academy on penalties (5–4) in the semifinal match that ended 2–2 in regular time. The Parisian side finished second in Group B with five points after drawing 3–3 with Barcelona and 1–1 with PVF Academy, and defeating Kashiwa Reysol 3–1.

Barcelona, meanwhile, reached the final after defeating Mohammed VI Academy 3–1 in the second semifinal. The Catalan team topped Group B with seven points, earned from a 3–3 draw with Paris Saint-Germain and two victories over Kashiwa Reysol (5–1) and PVF Academy (3–1).
In the match to determine third and fourth place, Aspire Academy and Mohammed VI Academy are expected to compete strongly in an attempt to make up for their semifinal defeat and secure a victory to serve as a fitting conclusion to their participation in the tournament.

Kashiwa Reysol finished fifth, Étoile du Sahel sixth, Rangers seventh, and PVF Academy eighth.
