ASPIRE ACADEMY - ALKASS INTERNATIONAL CUP 2019

This year, twelve teams from twelve different countries are taking part in the Alkass International Cup. This is what Aspire Academy have had to say ahead of the tournament:

Fábio César Montesin, coach of Aspire Academy’s team at the 2019 Al Kass International Cup: “This is the competition, our boys have been waiting for the entire season. Everyone is highly motivated to give his best on the pitch and we are all looking forward to our first game on Monday against Raja.”

The former Qatar national team player, who played for Al-Arabi, Al Rayyan and Umm Salal as well as for teams in Italy such as Napoli or Avellino, is expecting a tough game against to Moroccans. “Raja is always coming with a strong team that wants to go as far as possible. But I’m not worried about them, because my focus is on our boys and to prepare them as best as possible, so they are able to make the right decisions in the game.”

Aspire Academy’s second opponent in the group stage is Rangers FC from Scotland. “They are coming from a different footballing school than Raja. I expect them to be well organized and physically strong. We will be prepared for both games and give the best we can. Our overall goal is the same as every year. We want to use this tournament to increase the level of our players, as a team and individually.”
