JUBILANT FANS FLOCK TO ASPIRE ZONE FOR QUARTER FINALS

Jubilant fans filled the stands at Aspire Zone as the quarterfinals of the Al Kass International Cup got underway yesterday. The day saw phenomenal performances by Benfica and Espérance de Tunis, who both made it through to the semifinals.

The Tunisian side, as usual, had a rowdy contingent of supporters, including Sabri. “I’ve been coming to Al Kass for the past three years, and each year is better than the last,” he said. “This tournament is great for Qatar as it gives them international visibility and demonstrates their capability of hosting the 2022 World Cup.”

Tunisian Real Madrid fan Seqeeq was also enthusiastic, saying, “This is the third match of the tournament I’ve watched so far. Al Kass is important for young players, particularly the Arab teams, as they have the chance to play against some of the top European teams, which enables them to improve their skills tremendously.”
