Currently organized by Al Kass Sports Channels in February from 5 to 15 2016, in collaboration with Aspire Zone Foundation (Aspire) and Qatar Football Association (QFA), Al Kass International Cup (of amateurs under 17 players)is a global football championshipfor clubs that has established itself as a competitive, credible and compelling one worldwide.

 

This important annual tournament aims at forging youths’ skills and preparing youngsters to be amongst tomorrow’s football World Cup stars. It also aspires to elevating football passion in Qatar and the region as well as propelling the country to sporting excellence and leadership.

VISION

Qatar has promised the world with an amazing and unforgettable World Cup in 2022, and it is investing in promoting healthy and active living through sports. Al Kass International Cup has set itself as a key international football event that supports Qatar’s vision and contributes to building on the foundations of a proud footballing nation up to the 2022 world cup and beyond.

The bustle and vitality of age-old souqs has been recreated in Souq Waqif amidst buildings featuring traditional Qatari architecture. Here you will find handicrafts on display as well as traditional foods, fabrics and art.

Qatar Foundation (QF), chaired by HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, promotes cultural richness and preservation of the country’s heritage. Libraries, magnificent collections of Arabic writing, calligraphy and art are all being made available for research and public appreciation through QF, the Qatar Museums Authority, and the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage.
