For the fourth year in a row the ‘Al Kass International Cup’ provided a perfect stage for the football stars of tomorrow and the games themselves, including the highly dramatic final between eventual champion Paris Saint-Germain and Sao Paulo, excited people in and outside of Qatar.
“Winning this outstanding tournament was a great achievement for our players and the coaching staff. The competition involved some of the best teams of this age group and the organization was excellent,” said Francois Rodrigues, coach of the 2015 champion Paris-Saint Germain. The overall feedback was also very positive. “It’s been an amazing time here in Doha and the ‘Al Kass International Cup’ has without doubt been the highlight of my career so far,” said Aspire International player Denny Schmid. Two statements that perfectly sum up the satisfaction of the tournament’s protagonists.
All that’s left is to say a big thank you to everyone who was involved in this year’s competition – from organizers, sponsors and partners to the teams, referees, media representatives and, of course, the cheering crowds in the stands – all of them played a crucial role in making the 2015 tournament one of the highlights of Doha’s football season.
Having said that we are now looking forward to 2016 when the ‘Al Kass International Cup’ again returns to Doha.
